Beinn Eighe

North Coast 500

Part of the mighty Torridon mountain range, Beinn Eighe is Britain's oldest National Nature Reserve. The Beinn Eighe Visitor Centre near Kinlochewe is open from Easter to October and offers information as well as three short family-friendly walking trails. There are also two walks from the shores of Loch Maree, one into the woodlands and one mountain route.

Keen hillwalkers can follow the full Munro route to two summits up Beinn Eighe. With rutting red deer stags in autumn, glistening snowy peaks in winter, nesting eagles in spring and the lively call of the crossbill in summer, Beinn Eighe is a delight in every season.

Beinn Nighe is the last destination on the North Coast 500. To complete the full 500 mile drive, return to your starting point at Glen Ord Distillery.
