Moat Brae – Birthplace of Peter Pan

South West Coastal 300

Opening in spring 2019, Moat Brae lies in the heart of Dumfries and will also be known as the National Centre for Children's Literature and Storytelling. As you wander from room to room, you’ll find out about J.M. Barrie’s links to the area through interactive exhibits, and at the back of the house, let your imagination be fired in the Neverland Discovery Garden on the banks of the River Nith.

Dumfries is filled with a whole host of other attractions and things to do, from ghost tours to Robert Burns-related attractions (including the Robert Burns House) and from art galleries in the town centre to historic casltes in the surrounding countryside. Plus, there are lots of places to go for a bite to eat or a refreshment as well as places to stay.
